iPatientCare Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) is a cloud-based RCM solution that comes with free-to-use EHR and Practice Management built in. The EHR is certified for meaningful use stage II, offering a great deal for practices that are just looking to invest in a solution. Free data migration service is also available for users who have been using another EHR and now want to switch to iPatientCare. Being a cloud-based solution implies that there is no requirement for a practice to procure additional servers or other hardware. Simply using a PC or a laptop to connect to the Internet and logging on will suffice.

The solution can be purchased as a single complete package that encompasses an EHR and practice management suite along with the billing solution. The cost of the package is 3.9% of monthly collections. This is much lower than most other subscription-based systems. The billing and claim management processes provided by iPatientCare are efficient, and they document 98% first-pass success with their claims. Efficient follow up is maintained on any claims that are denied.

iPatientCare offers its billing solution in two different formats. The first is a customized billing option where users can select any of the six modules that are pertinent to medical billing. These modules are:

  • Follow up on Accounts Receivable
  • Manage denials and appeals
  • Verification of eligibility
  • Referral management and follow up
  • Payment posting and electronic remittances
  • Claim creation, submission and follow up

The second option is to go in for a complete package, which includes all the above options along with the EHR and PM packages.

Claim management is particularly good in the solution, and each claim is edited and vetted at least six times before it is cleared to be submitted. This is why the solution is able to achieve a 98% first-claim pass rate. There is a dedicated single-point contact person for each account, and this ensures close personal attention and prompt response to any queries.  The solution is available 24x7 and disaster recovery is built in. This gives considerable peace of mind to practices that worry about the availability of their data.
