Tableau Business Intelligence is user-friendly BI software utilized by more than 26,000 organizations worldwide. It allows the user to access data and develops interactive dashboards that one can share with other people. It has queries cubes, cloud databases, relational databases and spreadsheets that can be easily shared. This functionality has seen it bag awards like the ‘Best overall in Data Visualization’ by DM Review.

It has various products that are suitable for various business usages. Each offers an easy to use user interface. Sharing options and are managed by the user, since it’s installed on the network. The same applies for security options. The Tableau server comes with multi-tenancy provisions for users and content and therefore individual permissions may be defined for users or projects.

Tableau Desktop product creates a direct data access and a self-service analytics that interprets data images into queries without you having to code and thereafter you can easily predict trends in no time! Views can be altered in the drag and drop technology for specific analysis and can be combined into dashboards and shared using the Tableau server.

Tableau server dashboards are created using the Tableau Desktop and can be easily shared via the Tableau server and are accessible to anyone in the company. Other people may have their say on your dashboard and they may share theirs as well thus creating a live interaction or discussion on the particular data findings.

Tableau Online has nearly similar usage as the Tableau server in that it allows one to safely share the dashboards to whomever you please. One can edit but may not create a new workbook in Tableau Online. Tableau Reader’s free application enables viewing of your workbooks or dashboards to anyone without them necessarily having a Tableau Desktop license. Tableau Public is offered as a free tool for those who wish to publish their information and is accessible to the public.
