Allscripts offers a comprehensive solution.

The Allscripts solution is very comprehensive and almost limitless with options and features that can be added or utilized. If you keep using it and recording patient data and all other activities over a few years, you can have a great data source along with the capability to know and do anything for your patients. You can manage the business end of all these operations with integrated solutions like Sunrise. All this potential and capability yet appear in a very simple format to the user. Great product.

Pros
  • There are many good features
  • The patient chart is one of them
  • The system allows you to save templates and then you can use them for certain types of problems and just modify them slightly to match the exact data by a patient
  • When dealing with a lot of patient traffic, this comes in handy for saving a lot of time
  • The patient data is updated quickly and easily with a simple selection of the choices and by the addition of the comments to clarify the history or problem more specifically.
Cons
  • We have not had any issues with the software
  • In some cases, if there is something against program logic though, instead of simply not allowing it, the system may lock up
  • Until its recovery or rebooting, lots of time is wasted.
