Microsoft Dynamics CRM is one of the best CRM services for mid-size and enterprise organizations. Dynamics provides industry-specific solutions that meet the requirements of various businesses, including manufacturing, financial services, retail, healthcare, education, private and government players.

This very popular software application can be considered both as an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool.  You cannot purchase this product directly from Microsoft; rather it can be purchased and deployed through a network of well-established reselling partners.

The most recent version of Microsoft Dynamics came out in 2013, and it can be used with other applications such as SharePoint, Yammer, Office 365, Outlook and Azure.

The Microsoft Dynamics ERP version consists of the following versions:

  • Microsoft Dynamics AX: This version is meant only for the largest of large corporations and businesses.  It consists of many different functionalities such as Global Business Management, Operations Management, Human Resources, and Finance.  This tool is geared towards the manufacturing, retailing, and public sector market segments.
  • Microsoft Dynamics NAV: This software package is designed for the medium sized business to help them manage their finance and supply chain functionalities.  It comes in various different languages as well as the differing, global currencies.
  • Microsoft Dynamics SL: This specific version is geared towards those organizations that specializes purely in Project Management Services, with the primary intention of helping to create and drive future business innovation.

With respect to Microsoft Dynamics CRM, this software tool is designed to help organizations and businesses of all types and kinds with their sales and marketing efforts, and to reach out to both existing and prospective customers.  This product comes as a client-server application; this simply means that it is hosted at a third party (such as a reseller).  It can be quickly and easily accessed via any Web Browser.  The most current version is the 2015 one and currently supports over 40,000+ business entities.
